RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REGULATIONS.
Attention please read this carefully !
Renter’s Personal Requirements
- Minimum driving experience of 3 years and minimum age of 23 for renting cars of classes Economy, Compact, Standard.
• Maximum renter’s age is 70.
• Please note that we do not check the driver’s age at the time of booking. If you do not match the age requirements, you will not be allowed to pick up the car, and the booking deposit will not be refunded.
Booking: What Car You Get
- Bookings are for a specific Group of cars, usually including several different car models of similar characteristics.
- You can request a specific model after confirming your reservation. We will add your preference to your order and try to match it if available on the day you arrive.
• Please note that you should be prepared to get any car from your chosen Group.
• In case you have a confirmed reservation for a certain Group, and no cars in this category are available we will upgrade your booking for the one above at no extra cost.
Free Cancellation Before 72 Hours
- Full refund in case of cancellation 72 hours prior rental start.
Car Delivery
- We bring the car to you at the agreed time and place — this can be the airport, hotel, port, or another location you choose.
- Our staff will show you the car and explain the most important rental rules.
- If your flight or ferry is late by more than 30 minutes, please tell us before. If not, our staff may not wait, because they might have to go to another delivery.
- If your car was booked for daytime, but because of the airline or ferry you arrive at night (between 23:00 and 07:00), there is an extra charge of €20 for night delivery.
- We may refuse to release the vehicle if the driver or any accompanying persons behave inappropriately – for example, if they are aggressive, show obvious signs of alcohol or drug use, or are careless with the vehicle.
Car Replacement
- In the event of an accident or breakdown, your car will be replaced (provided that the renter followed traffic rules) within 24 hours from reporting the incident.
• If the accident occurred due to the tenant’s fault, we reserve the right to refuse replacement.
Car Return - Return the car at the agreed time and place.
- The company does not refund money for any extra fuel returned at the end of the rental.
- Fuel policy: bring the car back with the same amount of fuel as when you got it.
- You can return the car at the airport or port at night — no extra charge.
Important
- If you will be more than 20 minutes late to return the car — please call us.
- If you return the car late or with less fuel, we may charge extra.
- All fines received in case of non-compliance with traffic rules and road codes during the rental period are paid by you
- You bear all expenses incurred for returning the car number plates after their removal by police sanction.
- In some cases, if the car is already booked for the next rental, we may kindly ask you to return it the evening before by 21:00, even if your booking officially ends in the morning. This is necessary to prepare the car for the next customer. This rule does not apply to deliveries and returns at the port and airport.

Rental terms
1. Full insurance is valid for accidents and damage if you immediately notify
Compass Crete by phone. In the event of an accident, the tenant must immediately
contact us by phone or the police using the free number: 100
2. The insurance does not cover damage to tyres or rims that cannot be repaired.
3. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not covered by any insurance
and the tenant is obliged to pay for full damage.
4. Insurance does not cover the loss or broken of keys and accessories.
5. Only people who have subscribed to the contract are allowed to drive
the rented car.
6. If the accident occurred due to the tenant’s fault, we reserve the right
to refuse car replacement.
7. All fines dating from the rental period are paid by the tenant.
8. Full insurance doesn’t cover driving off road or any non-asphalted road
(for example Balos and similar ). Penalty 200 euro.
9. The company does not refund money for returning extra unused fuel in the tank.
10. The company does not refund money in case of early return.
11. The renter must return the vehicle no later than the agreed time and
date in contract. Once the rental period expires the insurance is not valid.
12. Insurance does not cover parking in unauthorised lots.
13. Crossing over a continuous line separating lanes or ignoring a stop sign is not
covered by insurance, for such violations ,the tenant will fully pay for
the cost of repair , renewal and compensation for vehicle down-time.
14. Violation as above mentioned will result in refusal from the insurance
company to pay any refund, in such case the tenant has to pay for all damages.
